Background information about AMREC

Amrec Training Institute was established in the year 2015 as a pioneer training college in Turkana County to provide quality professional training. The institute was established to address the growing need for professional training and capacity building and the challenges that the people of Turkana County had faced over the years regarding access to post secondary education. Prior to its establishment, there were only 3 middle level colleges and 1 university and residents had to travel to far towns to access this basic need.

Since its inception, AMREC has offered opportunity to students to pursue career education programmes carefully selected to ensure that graduates are able to fit into the market demands.

Amrec now offers a wide range of courses including short term professional development courses which initially could only be accessed from Nairobi and other major cities. We offer Diplomas, Diplomas, Certificates and Artisan Courses. At AMREC You will definitely find a suitable course that befits your unique needs and aspirations. Students can choose to study at any of our campuses in Lodwar, Kakuma and Lokichar. With a team of highly competent faculty, AMREC has lived to its motto “Quality training for Prosperity” We continuously evaluate our programmes and systems to ensure that we meet the ever changing needs of the community.
